Import Rakuten Advertising transactions
Import a Rakuten Advertising transaction export into AffCheck, what the 90-day transaction update window means, and what we have not verified yet.

Rakuten Advertising works the other way round from Awin: there is no pending list waiting for your approval. Transactions are live, and the advertiser cancels the ones that should not be paid, inside the transaction update window. AffCheck's job on Rakuten is to tell you which ones those are while the window is still open.

Rakuten Advertising has no public advertiser help centre, so the export and upload steps below could not be read in Rakuten's own documentation. The transaction update window and the Shopify app are verified; the rest is not. Send us a redacted export and we will document it properly.
Export your transactions
Export the transaction or event report for the period you want to check, as CSV, from your Rakuten Advertising advertiser dashboard. We cannot give you the exact menu path yet — see the note above.
Import it
Drop the file on the network zone of the Imports screen and pick Rakuten Advertising if it is not detected. The preset expects an order id, a sale amount, a commission, a status, a transaction date and a publisher (MID) id; when your headings differ, AffCheck asks once which column is which and remembers it.
One Rakuten quirk to expect: cancellation records are written as rows with negative sale and commission amounts.2 They are settled rows, not pending ones, so they never become suggestions.
The window
"By default, the transaction update window is 90 days. However, advertisers can use the TrueLock feature to set a shorter, custom transaction update window on a per-offer basis or globally across all their offers."1
Ninety days is both the default and the maximum, so AffCheck starts Rakuten rows at 90 days. If you use TrueLock, shorten the period on the Deadlines screen and every pending row is re-dated.
If you run the Rakuten Shopify app
The Rakuten Affiliate Tracking app's listing says it "Automates cancellation reporting back to Rakuten Advertising".3 It does not say whether partial refunds are handled, and we have not been able to confirm it, so treat partial refunds as yours to check.
What to do with a flag
The matching, the evidence and the reason codes are the same as on any other network, and so is the wording: the review queue says decline. On Rakuten, read that as "cancel and report this transaction", because that is the action the platform gives an advertiser. See reason codes and upload your decisions to your network.

How long can I cancel a Rakuten transaction?
The transaction update window is 90 days by default, which is also the maximum. The TrueLock feature can make it shorter, per offer or across all offers.
