Import your Webgains transactions
Import a Webgains transactions export into AffCheck, and the validation period in the Webgains advertiser terms: 35 days by default, 50 at most.
By The AffCheck team · Updated
On Webgains the advertiser sets a validation period during which transactions may be cancelled or adjusted. After it expires they are final. AffCheck reads your transactions export and tells you which ones are worth cancelling or adjusting while you still can.
The platform steps are not verified
Webgains' help centre is behind a login, so the export and upload paths below could not be read in Webgains' own documentation. The validation period comes from the published advertiser terms and is verified. Send us a redacted export and we will document the rest.
Export your transactions
Export the transactions report for the period you want to check, as CSV, from your Webgains advertiser account. We cannot give you the exact menu path yet.
Import it
Drop the file on the network zone of the Imports screen and pick Webgains if it is not detected. The preset expects an order reference, a sale amount, a commission, a status, a transaction date and a publisher (affiliate) id. Where your headings differ, AffCheck asks once which column is which and remembers the layout.
The validation period
The Webgains advertiser terms are explicit:
"You agree to set a Validation Period … during which Transactions may be cancelled or adjusted by You. The maximum Validation period you can set is 50 days, unless otherwise agreed in the Commission Schedule. Failing any time set by You, the Validation Period is automatically 35 days from the date Transactions are tracked in the Webgains platform."1
So: 35 days if you never set one, 50 days at most unless your Commission Schedule says otherwise, and after it expires "Transactions are deemed as final and validated and cannot be cancelled/adjusted by You any longer".1
AffCheck starts Webgains rows at 35 days. Put your real period on the Deadlines screen — it is the number in your own commission schedule, not ours.
If you run the Webgains Shopify app
The Webgains Affiliate Marketing listing covers tracking and onboarding. No refund, cancellation or validation sync is listed,2 so on Webgains nothing is netting out your refunds for you.
What to do with a flag
A suggested decline is a cancellation on Webgains; a suggested amend is an adjustment. The evidence on each row is the same as everywhere else — see reason codes and upload your decisions to your network.
